Nervous System Support
The nervous system is made up of the brain, spinal cord, sensory organs, and the network of nerves that link these parts to the rest of the body. Together, these components manage body functions and enable communication between different body systems. The brain and spinal cord form the central nervous system (CNS), which serves as the main control center for processing information and making decisions. The peripheral nervous system (PNS), which includes sensory organs and nerves, gathers data from both inside and outside the body and relays it to the CNS. In turn, motor (efferent) nerves in the PNS transmit signals from the CNS to muscles, glands, and organs to control their actions.
